There are 6 points with Goodwin made, they are:
1. Music videos demonstrate genre characteristics (e.g. stage performance in metal video, dance routine for boy/girl band).
2. There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals. (either illustrate, amplifying, contradicting).
3. There is a relationship between music and visuals. (either illustrate, amplifying, contradicting).
4. The demands of the record label will include the need for lots of closeups of the artist and the artist may develop motifs which recur across their work. (a visual style).
5. There is frequently reference to nation of looking (screens within screens, telescopes, etc). and particularly voyeuristic treatment of the female body.
6. There is often intertextual reference (to film, tv programmes, other music videos etc).
Here are some examples of music videos which relates to the Goodwin's analysis.

Illustrate:
In this music video, the Goodwin's analysis is applied as the lyrics sings "Big Big Booty" and here on the screen, a lady with a "booty" is smacking her own bum. Also this can relate to 1. because the female is using it's own body to express sexual movements.
In this music video, the Goodwin's analysis is applied as the lyrics sings "All around the world pretty girls" and there is Britney Spears on the screen, who is pretty. This again relates to 1. because Brittany is wearing a tight low cut pink top which shows a lot of her cleavage.
In this music video, the Goodwin's analysis is applied as the lyrics sings "Smells like trouble to me" and Jennifer Hudson is wearing a police women uniform and you can see the "trouble" in the back of the car.
